FREE and Discounted Passes

Passes can be checked out for:

Maine Wildlife Park (discounted fare)
Maine State Parks (FREE Day Pass up to a 17 passenger vehicle)
Children's Museum + Theatre of Maine (discounted fare)
Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens (FREE 2 Adults + Children)
Maine Mineral & Gem Museum (Tickets include Free 2 Adults + 4 Students 13-17 years) Children 12 & under are always free.

Kayaks & Canoes

Kayaks and Canoes kept at the New Gloucester Fairgrounds can be "checked out" for use at the Royal River Reservoir. Stop by during open library hours with a valid ID to get access.

Lobby/Parking Lot Service

To reserve a title for pickup in the lobby/parking lot, visit our online catalog and log on using your library card number and password. If you need your library card number, password, or any other assistance arranging the pick-up, please call us at (207) 926-4840.

Homebound Delivery

To request Homebound service, call the library at (207) 926-4840 or email us at nglibrary@newgloucester.com to let us know you are interested in this service.

Any New Gloucester resident who is homebound qualifies for this program. You do not need to be permanently homebound to use this service. If you are home after a surgery or other illness, a temporary delivery service can be arranged.

After that, you can select books using the library's online catalog. The librarians will also take requests by phone or email the library if needed. Then just sit back and wait for the books to be delivered to your door.
